KMG International: The negotiations with the unions’ representatives for Petromidia refinery concluded with an agreement

KMG International, Rompetrol Rafinare and the unions’ representatives for Petromidia refinery reached  an agreement on Thursday, after several rounds of negotiations.

 

The company informs the public opinion and the partners that all working processes are carried out in normal conditions and the refinery operations were not affected during the period of the dialogue regarding the future status of the Collective Labor Agreement.

 

The positive results of the discussions were carried out in a difficult period for the Group and Rompetrol Rafinare, in the context of the decisions taken by the Romanian authorities on assets seizure, but KMG International continues to act as a responsible entity towards its employees, a reliable investor inthe Romanian economy and the communities of Romania.

 

KMG International, Rompetrol Rafinare, together with the Unions, are now aligned in the future steps needed to sustain the operations of the refinery and to ensure the company and the Group operations in the future, with benefits for both sides, for the development of the business and for its people.

 

The Group proved during the years the benefits brought for the Romanian economy – ensuring working places for over 5,000 people in Romania, as well as contributions to the state budget of over 12 billion $ in the past 7 years, and business benefits for 3,500 partners and suppliers.
